Course Overview/Who should attend:  Business professionals who need to use QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks Premier 2008 to manage company information including creating invoices, entering and paying bills, managing sales tax and doing payroll with QuickBooks 2008. 

 

Topics Include:  This is an instructor-led, hands-on course.  Participants will learn to how to set up and manage company files, develop customer, employee and vendor list, receive payments, manage checking and credit card accounts, set up inventory and more.  This class features a special exercise on running QuickBooks in a multi-user network environment.  Each lesson in the class begins with restoring a practice company file that is used until the concepts in that lesson are completed.

 

  • Creating a new QuickBooks company.

  • Modify the preset chart of accounts to suit your needs.

  • Add information to company lists, or edit information in company lists.

  • Open and use registers for any QuickBooks balance sheet account.

  • Reconcile a QuickBooks checking account.

  • Track credit card transactions.

  • Create sales orders.

  • Generate customer statements.

  • Receive payments from customers and make bank deposits.

  • Write QuickBooks checks and assign amounts to specific expense accounts.

  • Work with asset and liability accounts in QuickBooks.

  • Create and customize QuickBooks reports and graphs.

  • Save report an forms as Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
